In the real estate industry, master data maintenance includes, among other things, the recording of all addresses of tenants (tenant data maintenance), owners, interested parties or craftsmen and the houses, apartments, commercial spaces or offices to be billed (building data maintenance). ERP systems can now bundle this information and thus assist, for example, in the creation of exposés for new leases or in the preparation of service charge statements. In addition, a CRM system is often integrated, which makes it easier for property managers to manage their customers.

ERP software digitally maps all of a company’s buildings, properties, apartments, etc. and combines them on a central database. This enables the company to plan, control and monitor all processes centrally. ERP software that is also Internet-based and thus platform-independent is called cloud ERP. This software is easily scalable and therefore also attractive for small and medium-sized companies. In addition, individual adjustments can be made faster and more conveniently in a cloud ERP software. In addition, errors and the associated corrections are also avoided, which positively influences the value creation of the respective property.

In addition to data storage, ERP systems also enable further processing, for evaluation or assessment of the data. In this way, the data obtained can be analyzed with regard to individual criteria and easily exported to other programs, such as Excel, for further use.
